Isaiah43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
A preacher insinuated that God's children shouldn't have problems. He attributed life's challenges to self- infliction. While he may be right in certain aspect of his teaching, there's also another side I want you to look at- the word side. God never promised a problem-free life neither did he ever say that we won't face life's challenges. What God promised was victory.
The scripture above didn't say 'IF' you pass through the waters (referring to life's challenges). If the scripture had said 'IF' that would mean that it is optional and probably an exclusive of few but the bible said 'WHEN' you pass through the waters. It means we're bound to pass through the waters of life at different times.
In John16:33, Jesus himself said we shall face tribulations but we should be of good cheer because he has overcome the world. If the master said so, then we all would have a fair share of life's troubles in different form. As kingdom people, faith is our winning ticket. God knew we would face issues, that was why he made provision for faith.
Life's challenges is like a replay of a football match that we've heard the result. At the end, we'll always win.
