1Thes2: 19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? 20 For ye are our glory and joy.
Recently, I taught some escatological events in a gathering of ministers. One aspect of the teaching that struck my heart was the different types of crowns that believers shall receive as rewards at the judgement seat of Christ( BEMA). There is a crown reserved for soul winners only and that is called the crown of rejoicing.
How wonderful shall it be when you get to heaven and God decorate your head with the crown of rejoicing. The joy of every athlete is to receive a medal after winning a competition, if you are not an addicted soul winner, you are not entitled to this crown. What are you doing to bring in souls into God's kingdom? At this stage, the call for evangelism should excite us like never before.
The harvest is ripe and we can see it all around us. When you see bad people and sinners all around you, thats a ripe harvest waiting for the sickle of the gospel. Every soul you win is an added reward for you in heaven. You must live with eternity in-view, you need to ask yourself what you can do to get a reward in heaven.
The answer is simple, get on the field and win souls. Let It start from your neighbourhood.
Father, I receive grace to be an addicted soul-winner In Jesus name. Amen
