Proverbs14:17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
I watched a film titled 'Conqueror'. The Crown prince of a country called Houyan went to war against another country- Gorguyeo. The Crown prince was very hot-tempered. He had a grudge against Prince Damdeok who once held him captivee and humiliated him, when he got to war, he gave his soldiers marching order to attack the fortress of Gorguyeo out of bitterness and anger, he ended up losing so many foot soldiers. He didn't take time to plan his war strategies.
When decisions are made in moments of anger, you may lose more than you can imagine. Anger robs us of God's presence, common sense and critical reasoning. The anger of a leader can burn a whole city into ashes because anger is synonymous with foolishness. Even in marriage, if you are the type that gets angry easily, your home may not last.
God wants us to bring our temper under control. We all are prone to getting angry at what seems unpleasant to us but we don't have excuse to stay angry. Only fools make decisions while angry, wise men know that anger robs us of the ability to think straight. If you have been struggling to hear God speak to you or lead you, anger may be an hindrance.
Be cool headed before making decisions, God speaks to us when our heart is bitterness and anger free.
I receive grace to be able to control my anger In Jesus name. Amen
