Ecclesiastes12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
During my NYSC days, I was privileged to attend a meeting with some believers that were much older than I was. When I introduced myself as a fellowship executive, one man spoke and said that he regretted not accepting Christ as a youth because when he was serving the nation, he was an unbeliever and he didn't have the privilege I had.
The youthful age is a time to discover destiny and get established in it. It is also the time to cultivate real fellowship with God and build a culture of passionate devotion to God. A time will come when there won't be strength to do those things and such a time is regarded as evil days. Before I left the university, I decided that I would throw myself into kingdom service and exhaust myself so that I wont feel jealous or intimidated when my children tell me of their exploits in the kingdom.
If you waste your youthful days, you have wasted a significant portion of your life. No matter how committed and devoted you are to the things of God at 50, the experience won't be the same as compared to when you were youthful. The evil days are drawing near and very soon you won't be interested in these things anymore.
Decide for Christ today
Father, I won't waste my life in Jesus name. Amen
