At a time in my life, I lied that I was a registered student of a tertiary institution. I was admitted truly but I couldn't register because of incomplete O'level result. I told them at home that I was in school whereas I wasn't. I was given a false hope that my G.C.E.result would suffice but I couldn't meet up with registration. I bought an hostel bedspace and also walked out early in the morning as if I was going for classes. Though I attended some but my room mate bought my lies for free thinking I belonged to a department.
Though I restituted on that later to God and my parents and I got admission elsewhere. What does it really mean to live a lie? It simply means to create a false impression about your life or an event. Do you know it is possible not to tell lies but to live in lies or to tell one lie and live a false life to cover it up? Yes it is possible. When you lie and live a lie, they are all lies and all liars shall go to hell. Lying may seem so little amongst all sins but no liar shall stand in God's presence.
Even as a minister, it is possible to live a lie. When you shake and vibrate as if a special anointing is upon you when nothing has happened. You make your listeners feel something special when nothing is special at the moment, that's lying with your actions. Some may even walk like someone drunk in the Spirit. God want us to desist from lying not only with our words but in our actions.
Father, I desist from living a lie henceforth In Jesus name. Amen
