TRAVAIL TO PREVAIL

January 04, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 3 views

Isaiah66:8- 'Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

Most of our mothers can easily identify with a scripture like this. In the labour room, it takes some extra energy, pain and sweat to push before a child can be delivered. Child delivery has taken the lives of many. It is not a matter of bread and butter to be delivered of a baby.

We can liken the travails of a woman to trying to birth great things in your life through prayer. In life, you need to travail in prayer to prevail over the forces of life.

I'm yet to see a great man in the kingdom that didn't travail with God to prevail with men.

In this new year, before you can birth great things, you need to dig deep into the wells of salvation with passionate and sincere prayers. The year won't give you what you deserve except you make a demand for it because life is unfair. You must make a conscious effort to make dangerous demands from it. You can't fast too much or pray too much this year.

Moderation in prayer&fasting is fatal, it can't be in excess. Travail with God and prevail with men.
