James3:1 -Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. NLT
Apostle James' words are direct and straight to the point. We live in a world of many teachers and preachers. There are messages that lay a heavy burden on people yet the preacher himself doesn't do what he preaches. It is possible to preach holiness with fire brimstone and not be a doer of it.
I have been in gatherings where people always want to say a word or teach whereas God is saying before you speak ensure you're a doer because your judgement would be based on what you say. Before you teach or preach, examine your life and be sure your life is in sync with your message. There are preachers of tithes and giving who do not give.
It was discovered that most pastors don't pay their tithe yet the emphasis on tithe these days is even scaring some away from the church. Before you stand in front of the people to preach fire and brimstone, just know that the message you're preaching(provided it is the truth), would be used as a yardstick for your judgement. Teachers and preachers would be judged strictly and if they falter, I also believe their punishment would be more severe.
Watch your life before you preach or teach.
