NO MAN HAS THE MONOPOLY OF GOD

January 26, 2015 · Lanre Oyeleke · 3 views

Eph2:18- Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. NLT

A brother once proposed marriage to a friend of mine while in school. This brother visited her hostel and told her that God led him to her and if she walk out of her room, God will talk to her immediately that he was her future husband. Isn't that manipulative? She went out of her room but she didn't hear any voice from God.

She told some of her colleagues in the fellowship and they almost convinced her to saying yes because the brother was the deputy prayer coordinator and they revered him so much but thank God she didn't fall for that trick. Have you ever wondered how some believers act as if they have the monopoly of God? They use 'thus saith the Lord' to manipulate people to do their wishes and act as if they are the only one that have access to God.

Brethren, if any prophet or fellow Christian come acting around you as if you must obey him/her because he/she feels she has access to God than you do, tell the person that he/she doesn't have the monopoly of God. The sacrifice of Christ on the cross is enough for you and me to have direct access to the father to know his mind on any issue. Glory!

Beware of those that claim to always have a word of knowledge or a word from God on every issue for you. As you walk deeper in fellowship with God, you become closer and things become clearer to you.
