Prov13:20- He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
When I was in school, I selected my room mates every session because I know the power of association. A man said to be effective, you have to be selective. There was something unique about my clique back then, everyone knows what we stood for coupled with dedication to our academics.
The least we had amongst us was a second class upper. In life, you cannot go beyond the level of your association. Don't walk with vain men. Those who are going nowhere will lead you to nowheresville very close to folly estate along stupidity road. There are 3 ways of associating:
1- Upward association
2-Downward level association
3-Same level association.
The first type of association is the type that exists between you and a mentor. Someone higher than you, everyone needs it. The downward level association refers to the relationship with people you're mentoring and the last one refers to a type of association with people at your level.
Walk with men that are going in similar direction with you and those that can help you get there, your journey would be fast.
