THE SUPERNATURAL DOESN'T HAVE TO BE SPECTACULAR

2Kings5:10 But Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy.”11 But Naaman became angry and stalked away. “I thought he would certainly come out to meet me!” he said. “I expected him to wave his hand over the leprosy and call on the name of the LORD his God and heal me!( NLT)

Heard about a man who traveled a long distance to see a man of God for prayers. His expectations were high thinking something spectacular will happen.

When he met the man of God, a simple prayer was said and the man of God discharged him to go. He was shocked that all the man did was just to say a simple prayer and let him go.

That's akin to what transpired between Naaman and Elisha. The former expected 'prophetic vibrations and gymnastics'. He was shocked to hear that all he needed to do was to go bath in Jordan.

Naaman could have died of leprosy If not for the intervention of his maid. He acted by faith and got his healing.

The supernatural acts of God can come in ways that defy your spectacular expectation.

There are people that expect something extra after a simple prayer of faith, they don't believe that miracles and healings can happen without 'special effect' like falling down and rolling on the floor.

I have prayed for people who expected me to tell them 'thus saith the Lord' but most of them didn't get any answer from me or from the Lord because God wasn't moving that way at that time.

In most cases, our spectacular expectations robs us of the supernatural.

There are preachers that don't believe healing or deliverance can happen except someone falls under the anointing. That's why some push people down while laying hands.

While standing, God can heal and deliver just as He would when someone falls under the anointing. You don't dictate or determine the path of the Spirit and the supernatural, you can only align yourself to it and see God move the way He chooses.

As a preacher, the moment Satan knows you have spectacular expectations, he can arrange one for you. Not all fallings and screamings during power services are by the Spirit.

Demons also speak their tongues. It takes discernment to know the spirt at work when people are manifesting because Satan mimic the move of the Spirit sometimes.

Your duty is to plug into the divine by faith. Leave God to determine how He want to move. Let him decide to manifest in thunder, fire, storm or as a gentle flowing but powerful breeze. Faith is your duty not the spectacular.

Don't miss the supernatural because of your desire for the spectacular.
