Hebrews13:17 Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit(NLT).
One of Satan's ploy this endtime is to undermine the ministry of genuine pastors in the lives of believers now that artificial intelligence is gaining prominence. Was surprised seeing a church where AI preacher preached.
Don't be deceived to think AI can give you quality pastoring. God didn't design pastoring to be done remotely or through an artificial person. Humans put into the office by Christ are to play that role.
It is common to see people ask for counsel on issues on social media. A grown man( though immature) would bring his family issues to the media and ask for counsel from believer and unbelievers and you'll see divergent and demonic views that are unbiblical.
Some singles ask for counsel on social media groups/ forums on how to choose a mate and how to handle their relationship where there's a mix of believers and unbelievers. What kind of counsel do you think they'll get?
I see this trend as an abuse of social media and a ploy of Satan to downplay the office of the Pastor. Social media is not designed to pastor you even If you stream services online. Being under a Pastor is not only in listening to his messages online. Other things are involved most of which cannot be done online.
In the days when you need counsel, your Pastor is your go to person. He is to nurture you. You stand to lose so many things If you don't bring your life under the umbrella of a sound, genuine and faithful pastor. You'll be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.
The argument some put forth against this teaching is: "Not all pastors are wise and credible". I agree but you don't have to be under such pastors. Enjoy the privilege of being under a good pastoral covering, harness it and stop disgracing yourself on social media.
Certain situations happen in life where you need to talk to someone you can see for counsel. God has set ministry gifts in place for special purposes and one of such that cares and tend for the sheep is the office of a pastor.
A sheep must have a shepherd or else it would be lost. Who is pastoring you?
