Isaiah50:4 The Lord God hath given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary. He wakeneth morning by morning; He wakeneth Mine ear to hear as the learned.
Sometimes ago In the seminary, I was in the bathroom preparing for class when the Holy Spirit warned me through an inward witness that I should be careful of getting offended that day. It was so clear I knew it was the Spirit of God speaking to my heart.
I took it calmly and was prepared for whatever may come my way that day but I didn't know the form and manner in which the offense will come.
As I stepped into the class, a revision was going on. The person handling the revision took permission to leave so that i'll take over. As I got to the front of the class, my class governor demanded that I should tender an apology for a promise I didn't fulfill.
The man who made the promise told everyone that he was the one who made a promise not me yet the class leader caused a scene and accused me wrongly in front of everybody. I hate to be accused wrongly. I noticed I can't stomach wrong accusation and can get out of my way to prove my innocence.
I almost fumbled by flaring up in defense but the Holy Spirit prepared me ahead for the day in the bathroom. As soon as I remembered what the Spirit told me earlier in the morning, I tendered an apology and I continued the revision session.
There was a great calm in the class. No one expected me to stomach that toxic and shameful accusation without putting up a strong defense but I put Satan to shame by apologizing for a wrong I did not commit.
Everyone knew I was right because the student who made a promise openly cleared me yet my class governor insisted that I tender an apology. Shame on Satan. Recently, I learnt that trying to defend every accusation could be a sign of pride. There's a time to talk and a time to be silent.
What you do in the morning when you wake up matters alot. You can get insight about the rest of the day in the morning as you wait on God.
The morning season is not just a time to ask for what you want but a time to receive from the Lord what you should do If you encounter Satanic tricks in the day. Are you prepared for today?
Some temptations believers fall into could be avoided If they had listened to the Holy Spirit ahead of time. In the place of sweet fellowship, the Spirit of God want to tell us what lies ahead, what to avoid and how to handle the unavoidable.
Another vital thing I want you to note in my story is the place where the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart- the bathroom. In fact, I've said it several times that I often receive/ prepare some powerful messages I preach in the toilet while doing the thing.
Your kitchen can be filled with the cloud of glory as you fellowship with God. While at work, your office space can be filled with the glory of His presence. Now, you need to understand that your fellowship with God shouldn't be a part-time thing but a full time activity which can take place anywhere and at anytime.
Some persons only have a place and time where they spend quality time with God. While that's good but it is not enough. We are meant to cultivate the presence of God anywhere and at anytime as the Spirit of God enables.
I read one of Kathryn Khulman's post where she said she doesn't want to give the Holy Spirit one hour so that the manifestations in her ministry won't be attributed to her one hour meeting with God.
She decided that her fellowship with the Spirit would be a continuous thing. This habit we must cultivate consciously. As you drive, cook, wash, walk, fellowship with God. That way, you'll be sensitive at all times.
Father, i receive the grace to fellowship with you at all times. Holy Spirit, I want to be closer too you In Jesus name. Amen
