THE MAN GOD CANNOT USE PT.2

Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” NLT

THOSE WHO SHUN THE MAKING PROCESS

The story of Moses is a good illustration that fit for this. From an early age, the hand of God was upon him. He had the mandate to liberate his people from slavery. While growing up, he may not know the exact assignment but he knew Leadership was entrusted to him.

On a certain day, he saw an Egyptian fighting an Israelite. He sided with the Jew and killed the Egyptian thinking no one saw him. On another day, he saw two Jews fighting. This time around, knowing that they were brothers who shared the same ancestry, he decided to resolve the issue amicably.

To his surprise, one of the aggrieved asked him, "...Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known"( Ex 2:14). That was a very deep question Moses couldn't answer.

At that time, God hadn't made him the leader of his people. He hadn't passed through the Leadership Making School of God. When he realized he hadn't taken his prerequisite leadership courses and training in the school of divinity, he enrolled in the wilderness university where kingdom leaders are made.

For forty years in the wilderness, God taught Moses character and leadership using animals as practical. Why? God knew the people he would lead much later were stubborn and stiff-necked. He learnt patience and meekness in the wilderness.

The man that is not formed cannot be used by God the way He desires. Look at Paul's prayer for the Galatians: "My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,"(Galatians 4:19 KJV).

Sometimes, we desire to be used by God in a certain way but we forget there's a price to pay. We forget there's a making process. God's focus is on the making process while man looks at the finished product. The height some of us desire in the kingdom will be messed up If God doesn't help prepare us.

God is not an arbitrary God. He is detailed and painstaking in all He does. God knew the Jews were suffering yet He didn't release Moses for the task of liberating them from the grip of Pharoah not until Moses was made ready.

In God's making process for those He will use, two major things are Imbued in the process: Christlike character and leadership. He uses the crucible of adversity, life challenges and our day-to-day happenings to achieve this. Until heaven certifies a man fit for the task, He can't be deployed. You may ask, "Can God ever stop working on us". The answer is "NO".

However, there's a stage He gets with us before releasing us into His service and at every level, he work on us before moving us to the next level.

Jesus, though He knew He was the Messiah as a young boy yet He didn't start his assignment fully until His making period was full. In this kingdom, we don't deploy ourselves or else we'll hear a voice saying "Who made you a leader over us"?
