2Cor6:3 We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry.
I heard a story about an insane lady. She was at the junction of a church in a large city here in Nigeria. That junction was her usual spot.
She was there for 11 years in her abnormal condition. On a certain day, someone who has a ministry to the insane went to her usual spot, picked her up and rehabilitated her. After the whole exercise, she became normal.
She was asked about what led to her insanity. The young girl said she became insane immediately after her pastor raped her.
The pastor that raped her always pass her bye for the 11years period of her insanity. He's the pastor of the church down the street. That girl stumbled into insanity because of the irreverent act of that pastor and his ministry was faulty.
I have seen and heard several similar cases of those whose lives were damaged by priest. It is not only in sexual matters. It is sad to say some pastors duped people and ran away with money.
As a minister of the gospel, do you know how many people have picked offense because of your ministry? Some have said, "If that Pastor is the only pastor in town, I won't go to church again."
As a child of God, even if you are not in five-fold ministry, your life shouldn't be offensive neither should it make people stumble.
Those around you should see Christ in you and be willing to serve the Lord because of your conduct. If people decide not to follow Christ because your life is not exemplary, they have stumbled and your ministry is faulty already.
You shall account for every soul that has stumbled because of your carelessness.
Father, I shall not be a stumbling block to the salvation of others In Jesus name. Amen
