John8:10- "Jesus straightened up and asked her, "woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"...No one sir, she said. " Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."
I heard the story of a preacher who committed adultery. He didn't forgive himself and he lived under the wave of condemnation for sometime.
He had a dream where he was told that he was infected with HIV. When he woke up, his sorrows multiplied and he turned skin&bones over time. He stopped going to church because he felt unworthy of God's presence. Have you felt like that before?
The pastorate of his church came visiting. He told them about his sinful act and how someone told him in the dream that he was infected with HIV.
Someone amongst the pastors asked If he confirmed from the laboratory If he was truly infected. He said "No." His blood sample was taken. Alas! He was HIV negative. The spirit of condemnation tortured him not God. Religious folks would have agreed he was under a divine torment from heaven, no he was not.
Someone may say God punished him with those thoughts and dreams. That's not God. That couldn't have been God. We know the nature of God and what He can do by looking at Christ. When we look unto Christ, we'll see God clearly.
CHRIST IS THE VISIBLE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,(Colossians 1:15 NLT).
When you look at what Jesus did when they brought the woman caught in the very act of adultery to Him, his judgement was not condemnatory. He said, "... "woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"...No one sir, she said. " Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin"* ( John 10:8).
What He said was exactly what God the father would have said. God doesn't cast away. He is doing all to draw men to Himself. He is in the business of restoring backsliders and making them stand on their feet again.
The purpose of Christ's coming is to restore and lead men to repentance. If you've erred, don't sit there and mourn your woes, repent and continue running the race diligently.
The devil will always try to remind you about some of your mistakes, don't listen to his voice of condemnation. If you have fallen, stand up. Make amends and continue the journey till you cross the finish line.
I rebuke every spirit of condemnation torturing my heart and I receive mental&emotional healing In Jesus name.
