1 Pet 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
One thing we must learn to do in moments of anxiety is to speak to the Lord about it. Anxiety is an improper use of mental energy and imagination. Sometimes, the devil fires the arrow of worries into our hearts so that we can lose sight of God's power to solve our challenges. It is a diversionary tactic. Have you noticed that in moments of worries, to pray becomes a problem? Instead of fellowshiping with God, the enemy makes us fellowship with our problems.
You and I must master handling anxiety the bible way. The first thing is to take all your worries to the Lord in prayer. Tell God the exact thing the devil is telling you, describe to God those negative imaginations and graphic images the enemy has painted to you. Do not hide the details of your worries from the Lord. When you do that, tell him to take charge and stop the enemy in his tracks. You can do this as though you're talking to someone close to you. The beauty of true fellowship is that GOD want it to be conversational.
When you begin to pray this way, burdens will be unrolled from your heart. In moments of anxiety, do not cease to talk scriptures. Speak out the word till it becomes your reality. Get good music that ministers to you the most and hear it all day long. A word filled mind will be free from anxiety. Stay away from anything or anyone that stirs anxiety in you. Listen to good news and faith boosting testimonies. Don't waste productive energy dwelling on things that the enemy is suggesting to your heart.
CONFESSION: Father, I thank you for the privilege of having access to your presence. I receive the grace to unburden in your presence and to overcome anxiety in Jesus name.
