After reproof, the next function of  the word of God is correction. The word of God is the tool for correcting what is wrong in our lives.

The Holy Spirit works through the study or teaching of scriptures to bring us the needed correction that will make our lives better. That is why it is good to engage the Holy Spirit in our study.

When the Holy Ghost points you to areas in need of correction, please, do not harden your heart. You and I need to bring ourselves under the tutelage of the Spirit for correction regularly so we don't get destroyed.
Proverbs 29:1 says, "If you get more stubborn every time you are corrected, one day you will be crushed and never recover" ( GNT).
 

Preachers, It is not enough to point errors and make the people realize the things that are anti bible in our lives. Correction must follow.

As a responsible preacher, when the Lord points you to areas in need of reproof, don't be so carried away with errors and neglect correction. Responsible preaching&teaching of the word must bring necessary correction.

Some have asked If God gave anyone a 'correction ministry'. In the real sense of that phrase, there is nothing like that but looking deeply into the function of the inspired word, there is a place for correction where and when needed. It is part of ministry.

The preacher is licensed to correct what is wrong in the body through the word.

Don't preach to make people feel good. Don't overlook the wrongs in the life of the flock because of what they are giving you or because of the fear of losing them. You are answerable to God not man

Let's allow the word perform its function. Our lives will be better for it.
