THE PATHWAY TO VICTORY (C)

Victory over masturbation is possible. There is no perversion that is stronger than God's word. I'm a stickler for the word. If we follow the word, we'll get result. To achieve victory, you must know the time and place you're tempted/ vulnerable the most and work out what to do at that time. This may sound awkward but this may be what you need do to seal your victory over masturbation.

Some persons are tempted to masturbate at certain times and places. Those that have vulnerable moments and places must find a way to overcome. If the place where you're tempted the most is avoidable, it will be in your best interest to avoid such place(s). 1Thess5:22 says, "Abstain from all appearance of evil." What about those that masturbate in places that cannot be avoided? Some persons masturbate almost every time they enter the bathroom to bath. The bathroom is unavoidable. I'm not talking about those that enter bathroom at will to masturbate. Some masturbate alongside bathing. We can't stop them from bathing.

When in such places, you must have a single focus and time your exit. This requires discipline. The grace is available. The longer you stay in the environment where perversion thrives, the more you'll be subjecting yourself to be tempted. Avoid exploring your genitals and always stay alert prayerfully when in those unavoidable places. Also, if yours is a specific time of the day, engage your mind by doing something productive at that time. If I were you, that'll be a good time to study the word. That time can become your regular study time. You can also listen to messages, music and read other edifying books. Also, as much as possible, avoid being lonely.
