Jeremiah 18:4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. NIV
Prophet Jeremiah was sent to the potter's house to observe how the potter was shaping the clay. During that time, he was at a low point in his ministry because Judah had forsaken the living God and have gone awhoring after other gods. In the potter's house, he saw how the potter was working with the clay and shaping it but something happened. The clay was marred in the potter's hand probably because of impurities. The clay was still in the potter's hand, so he deemed it fit to mould it into another shape.
God is the potter, you are the clay. The wheel He is using to mould us are the circumstances of life and trials. However, as the clay, it is possible to struggle with the moulding of GOD. Reading through the text, I inquired to know why the clay was marred in the potter's hand. If the clay(you) is not yielding to the dealings of the potter( God), it can be marred. If the clay has a lot of impurities, it can be marred but one good thing is that as long as the clay is still in the hands of the potter, it can be reshaped.
You may have messed up and struggled with the dealings of God upon your life. You may have missed God on several occasions, you may have been beaten and battered, your past maybe horrible and dirty but I'm glad to tell you that as long as you're still in God's hands, you can be reshaped into what is fitting for him. You still have hope as long as you're in his hands. One thing you need do is to yield yourself to God so that He can do as He seem best to Him. It is wise to come to that point where you'll cease from struggling with God and let him have his way in your life. Surrender.
father, I am in your hands, make me and mould me into what you desire In Jesus name.
