I love the question Evangelist Philip asked the Ethiopian Eunuch, he asked him to know if he understood the scriptures he was reading. I am asking you today, do you understand the Bible you are reading? I noticed that so many believers have bibles but only a few are committed to studying it. Among the few that have decided to read it daily, a vast majority do not understand what they are reading just like the Ethiopian eunuch.
Many failed to realize the place of the Spirit during their personal study times. They think bible is like every other literature book that can be understood with literary tools. Those that have approached bible study this way have missed several vital points in the scriptures. Since the Holy Ghost is the author of the scriptures, you need the Holy Ghost to explain it to you so that you can understand it properly.
Scriptures came by divine inspiration and you need the input of divinity to aid your understanding of the scriptures. I want you to value your Bible because it is the word of God. It is a book with eternal relevance that cannot be outdated or revised. All you will ever need for life and godliness is written therein only awaiting your discovery. It is the food for your spirit man but to benefit from it, you must understand it.
Holy Spirit, open up the scriptures to me and quicken my understanding In Jesus name.
