Ephesians2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
Those days, we sing a song during evangelism. The song says: ‘Are you in the number, saved by grace’. We repeat it severally with great melody. There is a depth yet to be understood about the grace of God. Man was born a sinner, Romans3:23.
It is in the nature of the unregenerated man to sin because it is part of his DNA. David affirmed this truth in Psalm55:1-5. Have you not heard people saying: ‘we are all sinners'? They say it to justify their sinful action.
There’s an exception to that rule. For those that have been saved, we are no longer sinners but now we are saints. Hallelujah!!! The penalty of sin is eternal death but God’s gift of grace gives eternal life, Romans6:23. Those that are saved are spared from that eternal death where the fire and brimstone burns forever without ending. This and many more is what the grace of God has come to do.
Now, let me ask you: ‘Are you in that number saved by grace? Religion is giving you ways to attain salvation but grace is saying ‘I offer salvation freely, come and take it’. When we cross to the other side of eternity, that is when we would realize in full the extent of God’s grace. For those that do not have Christ, they will cry but then it would be late. As a reader of this devotional, if you’re religious but not saved, if you’re not in the number of those whose sins have been washed away by the blood of the lamb, say this prayer verbally:
Father, I thank you for sending Jesus to die for my sins. I realize I am a sinner, forgive me of my sins. Wash me with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Write my name in the book of life. I accept Jesus as my Lord and personal saviour. Let me reign with you in Jesus name. Amen
