Heb5:10- Being designated and recognized and saluted by God as HIGH PRIEST after the order(with the rank) of Melchizedek. (AMP)
IS TITHING MOSAIC?
The scripture above is referring to Christ as a high priest with the same RANK like Melchizedek. If Melchizedek collected tithe from our father Abraham, then nothing should stop Christ from collecting the same from CHRISTians.
As a believer, Christ is your high priest and when you pay tithe, you must understand that you're paying it to your priest(CHRIST) as the head of the NT church. He is not present here physically with us to collect it like Melchizedek, but He has chosen men in the ministry(Eph4:11) to do that on his behalf (Heb7:8).
That is why Heb7:8 made it clear that mortal men(church leaders) collect tithe on behalf of an immortal man(CHRIST) and to be administered as led by the Spirit of God.
