ARE WE BOUND BY MOSAIC LAWS?Pt.9

Matt23:23-"...Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law-justice, mercy and faith. YOU SHOULD TITHE, YES, but DO NOT NEGLECT the more important things. (NLT)

WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT TITHING

In the above scripture, Jesus wasn't condemning tithing , He was only trying to strike a balance because the Pharisees were religious zealots that pay tithes but have bad character. Tithing and holy living should go along, that was the import of Jesus' message.

Jesus was only trying to tell them to add good character to their practice of tithing, never did Jesus condemn tithing. It won't profit you a dime to tithe when your life isn't right with God. As good as tithing is, if you're not living in love as commanded by the word, you won't make heaven.

Don't tithe from what you stole or got fraudulently, without your money, God's work will move on. Jesus is teaching us this morning to balance purity with the practice of tithing.
