YOU NEED A SPIRITUAL FATHER

June 15, 2013 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

1Cor4:15- Even though you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

There's a striking relationship in the bible between Jesus&God the Father. Jesus made it clear that He would only do what He sees His father doing, He receives instruction on how to go about ministry here on earth because there's someone up there that knows better.

You need a Spiritual father for the purpose of Godly counsel& spiritual

Instruction. The role of your spiritual father should be that of an overseer, your spiritual father should be someone that you can tell anything about your past, present&life in general. This has nothing to do with his/her age, you maybe older or agemates but you're not grace mate.

In the things of the Spirit, you don't know it all, there are certain depths God may not open-up to you not until you relate with men that have swam deep in that dimension. I personally discover that anointing, wisdom&insight can rob-off on you by relating with a man that operates in that realm.

Isaac Newton said, ' If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants'. Timothy was Fathered by Paul, Elisha had Elijah, Jesus has God the father as His Father, who is your spiritual father?

Action point

Prayerfully approach a man of God with proven integrity&worthy character that you're led to&submit your life's progress to him/her.
