2Cor9:7-You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully".
I heard of a preacher that told his congregation to give all in their pocket, another preacher placed a demand of certain amount on the congregants, he said if they can give that, they would lie down&he would cross over them to pray. That's gimmicks.
One reason why many givers dont receive from God is because their giving was a response to a preacher's gimmicks of raising money which in turn put pressure on the congregants to part away with their monies reluctantly. I believe in doing things the scripture way, the bible made it clear that your giving must be based on your decision not what someone forced out of your pocket.
Don't let anyone put you under pressure to give what your mind is not releasing, if you do, there's no blessing in it. You can be motivated to give scripturally but you shouldn't be pressurised to give. You should also know that you can't buy God's blessing as some may make you feel there's a seed to sow for every of God's blessing.
In our ministry, we table our needs to God and encourage our partners to give what they have decided to give, no gimmicks nor pressure, we only motivate them to give. Some of them have gotten miracle jobs&open heavens in different areas of their lives.
Learn to decide what you want to give, and give cheerfully when the opportunity comes.
Father, thank you for revealing kingdom truths to me In Jesus name.
