I have an understanding about the efficacy of praying in the Spirit that no counter theological position on the subject can take from me. I believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit and I affirm that he is real, still doing today what he did in the early church. If only we can embrace his ministry, we'll experience the supernatural.

Now, when you pray in the Spirit, you are building inner strength and spiritual energy that can make things happen. What you are doing is akin to charging a battery for optimum use. Any electronic device using a battery is as good as the charge in the battery. When it is low, it goes off. Your spirit man requires constant "charging" and the quickest way to do this is to pray in other tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:4 says, "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself;..". To edify is to build up just as engineers will build an edifice. It is to strengthen and make viable.

When you pray in other tongues, you are building up your spirit man. You are giving it the required strength to be able to sustain you. There is nothing as bad as having a weak spirit. It predisposes a believer to a fall and to be messed up by Satan. A strong spirit is a priceless asset to any believer.

Aside praying in the Spirit to clear the pathway for direction, you can pray in tongues to strengthen yourself spiritually. When you pray this way, your power voltage is charged up. After praying in tongues extensively do this: make word-based declarations over your life in known language.

You see, after praying in tongues extensively, the words you speak thereafter becomes binding and authoritative because you have generated enough spiritual energy to make those words happen. You don't stop at praying in tongues, you must ensure to speak authoritavely over the issues you are facing. You don't beg the situation, you issue a decree over it.  

Angels are waiting for the next thing you'll say after praying in tongues extensively because they are activated to act in your best interest. The bible says, "Praise the LORD, you angels, you mighty ones who carry out his plans, listening for each of his commands"( Psalm 103:20).

As you declare God's word(plan) over the situation you are going through after praying extensively in tongues, angels have no choice than to obey. Spend quality time praying in tongues daily. It strengthens and refreshes.
