STOP GLORIFYING DEMONS

Matthew 28:18 *Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth*( NLT).

There are ways some believers glorify demons. They talk as though God is afraid of Satan and they are in awe of demons anytime they talk. Also, they are so demon conscious to the extent that they see demons in everything. If a cockroach or rat enters their apartment, they'll start shouting "Blood of Jesus" or "HolyGhost Fire".

Another set of believers claims to be constantly under demonic attack even when they are not. Even in matters that requires taking practical steps, they'll push blames on demons. They are just too conscious of demons. This way, they glorify him. Let me share some biblical truths with you.

First, expelling demons should not be an issue for a child of God. It is the easiest thing to do actually. Jesus said, "These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages" (Mark 16:17 NLT). As long as you believe in Jesus, you have the power to cast demons out. You don't glorify a thing you have superiority over by talking about it all the time.

Second, If you don't know who you are in Christ, demons will constantly deal with you. This is probably the biggest reason some believers are in demonic bondage. They are born again quite alright but they do not know who they are in Jesus. They still see themselves as ordinary. Do you know what the word says about you?

Colossians 3:3 (NLT) says,  "For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God". Your real life that is hidden in Christ is the reason Satan and his demons cannot overcome you. They have to deal with Christ before they can deal with you. You are shielded.

Ephesians 2:6 says, "For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus"( NLT). We are seated with Christ far above principalities and powers. You should not be afraid of those under your feet. You don't talk about them as though they are powerful. Imagine a general manager feeling threatened by a gate man. Under normal circumstance, he should sack the gate man. That's how powerful you are over demons.

As long as you remain ignorant about who you are in Christ, you'll remain in bondage. Knowing who you are is not enough, exercising your authority in Christ over demons is what will subdue them and make your victory a reality. Some know these scriptures and can tell you who they are in Christ but do not know how to exercise their authority in Christ. Power that is not exercised is wasted. Exercising your power is what is known as authority. Learn to exert your authority over demons always.

Luke 10:19 (NLT) says, "Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you".

Action Point:

: I am victorious over demons, powers and thrones. The life of God is in me. Halleluyah!!!
