A wise man once said, "Your life will not be different from what it is today in the next ten years except you read good books and the people you meet in life"( paraphrase). No truer words can be said.
Another man says, "If you walk with five wise men, you are likely to be sixth wise person". This is akin to the opening text.
Often, I tell people that one of the things that shapes the future is relationships. Not anyhow relationship but value-adding relationships. That is what I call covenant relationships.
God did not create anyone to be independent. Our lives takes shape and our vision is propelled through quality relationships. I am yet to see anyone who fulfilled destiny in isolation.
You cannot fulfill great dreams and vision in isolation. You need a company of likeminds, those who will make your journey faster and better. What we see in your life tomorrow will tell us If you have made the right choice of relationships.
In shaping tomorrow, stop walking with vain men. Psalms 26:4 says, "I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers". Can you say the same thing the Psalmist said?
From today, be intentional about your relationship. Not anyone should be your friend or in your inner circle. Some should be acquaintances, at best but not your friend. Your life's journey is precious to God and his desire is that you fulfill destiny.
