BUILDING CAPACITY FOR DESTINY

April 23, 2020 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Matthrw25:15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one--to each according to his individual capacity; and then started from home.WNT

On November 27, 2011, it was reported that the Swanland ship sank off the North Wales coast due to overloading. The ship was heavily loaded beyond the carrying capacity of its structure. Six crew members lost their lives out of eight that were aboard. The two were rescued by a helicopter co-piloted by Prince William. The body of the chief officer was recovered from the sea during an extensive air and sea search, but the remaining crew were not found. It was a painful incident though it was avoidable. I have heard of aeroplanes that crashed due to overloading. Carrying capacity is vital in life and destiny. The future some desire is so big that their current capacity cannot handle it.

It is very easy to dream big as motivators do tell us but it takes real work to build the required spiritual, mental, emotional, social, financial and academic capacity to make that dream come true. Multinationals keep sending out their staff on trainings and short-term courses to build their capacity for organizational expansion and performance optimization. Apostle Paul was not a mediocre in ministry. He spent quality time learning and labouring to be on top. This man spent 3 years in Arabia probably preparing himself for the task ahead. Listen to him, "But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. FOR I HAVE WORKED HARDER than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace"(1Cor 15:10). He developed his Apostolic capacity through hard work, that was why he was entrusted with deep revelations.

One of the reasons why God may not answer the prayer of some people is because they have not developed capacity to handle what they're asking for. Humans may overload a ship that is not built for heavy loads but God doesn't make mistake in giving us what we cannot handle. Some single sisters desire to marry a Pastor. Deep in their heart, they want to be called "mummy in the Lord" but they're not developing themselves to fit properly into that shoe. Not every sister can carry the weight of destiny of the kind of man they desire and vice versa. From today, you need to start building the required carrying capacity for the kind of dream you have through constant training, prayer, self development, character building and mentorship. If you cannot Pastor a congregation of 50 due to low pastoring capacity, do not expect God to send you 500 congregants how much more thousands. Genuine result in any facet of life answers to intentional and appropriate capacity building.

Father, I receive the grace to build capacity for destiny in Jesus name
