Mark16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
One morning while in the university, the Spirit of God led me to preach in the front of a hostel. I told my room mate to join me. It was very early in the morning when the skies were dark. I preached in the front of a block of hostel while my room mate preached in another location within the same hostel. At day break, we heard the voices and footsteps of angry boys walking towards our room. They chided us for preaching in front of their hostel. At the time they entered my room, my room mate was ironing his clothes. As one of them wanted to inflict injury on him with the hot iron, I spoke out. I told them to face me and not him because I was the one that preached in front of their block.
Their leader began to tell me how his sister married a bishop and his involvement in church. He justified himself with those things. My conclusion was that he was either a backslider or he was never saved. Those guys were known for their notoriety in the school. I wouldn't be wrong to call them cultists because they were rumoured to be in a confraternity. Not long after, this young man died mysteriously. I was told he got burnt alone in a house. I wasn't happy he died because I knew he was the reason why the Holy Spirit sent me to preach that morning. The words that flowed out of my mouth were words of warning and call to repentance.
Do not joke with evangelism this year. God may be sending you to rescue someone who is about crossing into Christless eternity. Failure to deliver the message would make God require the blood of that person from your hands. God said, "When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand", Ezekiel 33:8 KJV. The command is "Go ye" not "Stay ye" or "look ye". Talk to people about Jesus any where and everywhere. Do not be at ease seeing souls on their way to hell: "Woe to them that are at ease in Zion", Amos6:1.
Father, I receive the grace to preach Jesus to the lost. Give me a bountiful harvest of souls this year in Jesus name.
