1 John2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. KJV
WHY MASTURBATION IS A SIN (B)
We have established the truth that lust drives masturbation. Lust of the flesh is deeply rooted in the mind. It is one of the signs of a depraved mind. Apostle Paul said: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ, 1 Cor 2:16 KJV. Obviously, masturbation doesn't reflect the mind of Christ. If we can catch a glimpse of what runs through the mind of Christ, I am sure we won't find lust there. His mind is pure and full of love. Hallelujah!!!
The greatest sexual organ is the mind. If you can control your mind, you can control your sexuality. King Solomon said, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it". Knowing the power the mind wields in our decisions and life in general, apostle Paul said: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God", Romans 12:2 KJV. When the mind is fed with erotic sights/ pictures, sexual fantasies, pornography and unguarded lustful looks at the opposite sex, masturbation is inevitable.
People masturbate because of what they feed their minds with. If you go for deliverance and get hands laid on you to cast out the demon of masturbation, if you don't renew your mind with God's word(Rom12:2) daily and fill it with healthy content, the story will remain the same. "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word", Psalms 119:9. We have victory prescriptions from the bible. Another veritable way to control your thought is to do what Paul prescribed in Phillipians4:8: *"And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Father, I receive grace to renew my mind with God's word and to fix my thoughts on the right things in Jesus name.
