2Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
I love telling the story of Colonel Harland Sanders. I've told his story more than a dozen times probably. He was broke at 65. He decided to look inwards in search of what he could do. Finally, he wrote in his book several times, "I can fry chicken". He ventured into chicken frying business and this grew to become the world renowned Kentucky Fried Chicken( KFC) with franchises all over the world. This could be your story this year going forward.
You need to look within. Discover that thing you love to do and place a value on it. You can shape your year like this. A lot of people have built fortunes from their passion. About thirty years ago, who would have thought that stand up comedy would become a multi million naira industry? People pay millions just to laugh for some hours and they return to their misery after. However, the man who knows how to make others laugh would pocket his millions after the show. He's no thief. He worked for it.
A young boy who was always beaten by his teacher for talking too much in class ended as a public speaker and life coach. He became a sought after public speaker who get paid in millions for a one hour speech. While in his car, he saw his former teacher and he gave him a lift. The teacher seeing his exotic car asked to know his job. He said,"I'm still talking." God has deposited something in every one that can be traded with. We may look down on it as little but in it lies our fulfilment. All you need do is to refine it and package it into what is marketable.
Father, I receive the grace to discover the treasure you've given to me in Jesus name.
