PROCESSED IN THE WILDERNESS Pt.2

Ex16:4 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down foodl from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.

TESTING PERIOD

During my youth service, one of our senior friends, Pastor Tony Itsueli, shared with us a revelation he had during his own service year.

In that vision, he saw a long line of corpers. He saw someone awarding marks to individuals as though they had written an examination. The fellow( presumably an angel) also showed him what he scored after his NYSC year. Never knew service year was a testing time until he shared that with us.

God test and score his children like an examiner. In fact, I won't be wrong to say God is an examiner: “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve"( Jer 17:10 NIV).

Have you ever wondered when and where God tested the brothers of David when he disqualified them for kingship in the presence of Samuel? They were living their normal lives not knowing God was seeking who to enthrone.

David was somewhere in the wilderness tending the flock of his father yet he did not know he was writing a test. He passed his test for kingship unknowingly and God took him from the wilderness to the throne.

In every citadel of learning, examination precedes promotion. I am yet to see a student that got promoted without writing exams. The same applies in the things of the Spirit.

God is a good examiner; the opening test made it clear that God tested the Israelites to be sure they would adhere to instructions.

You cannot become a living proof until God proves you. The milk and honey of the promised land can only be entrusted into the hands of those that have successfully passed God's test.

The reason believers are not on the same level of glory spiritually may be because of success or failure in previous divine examinations.

Operating at some level of glory may not necessarily have to do with how long you can pray or knowledge possessed but how well you have passed God's test of faithfulness and integrity.

An assignment where faithfulness and integrity is needed, God will never put the unfaithful there. Joseph is a prime example. God needed a faithful man to preserve a race.

Joseph proved himself faithful in Potiohar's house as a servant. The faithful and uncompromising servant later became the second in command who will distribute food resources equitably and with wisdom.

If he was an unfaithful man, hunger and famine may have exterminated the Jewish race. God tested and tried a man during his wilderness season, he passed and was lifted.

Speaking about Joseph, the bible made it clear that the word of the Lord tried him (Psalm105:19). He wouldn't have become a prime minister If he had failed his test.

God saw in Joseph a man that was faithful because he was tested faithful in little things. He managed his master's money, properties and wife with purity. If he had corrupted himself with money, God wouldn't have recommended him for the throne.

If he had numerous girl friends as a chief slave, he may become a professor of adultery as a prime minister. If you fail God, you peg your progress.

In Matthew4:1, we were told that it was the Holy Spirit that led Jesus Christ into the wilderness to be tested. I know you have been praying that God should move you to the next level of glory, but are you ready to write exams?

Your present level is a test, if you pass it well, no devil can stop you from moving to the next level.

Action point

Father, may I not fail your test. I receive grace to pass life's test In Jesus name.
