READY FOR OPPORTUNITIES

Eph5:16- Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. NLT

Recently, while discussing with my wife, I blamed myself for not taking advantage of a study opportunity of six to eight weeks that will earn me a degree in a field of interest.

The last time I enquired, what was six to eight weeks of a singular academic session now run for six to eight weeks for two academic session. It pained me when the registrar of the school told me. When the opportunity was there, I wasn't ready.

David was a man who maximized his God-ordained opportunity. He must have mastered the use of catapult and stone in the wilderness where he was tending his father's flock.

It was not the day he saw Goliath he learnt the use of the sling. A greater opportunity to use sling&stone presented itself on the battle field with Goliath and he conquered. Opportunity met him ready.

We live in a world where opportunities abound but most times are seen as challenges. Just a few have the third eye to see the opportunities that lies in those challenges.

A wise man said great opportunities for success in life will come wearing the garment of responsibility. Success is a product of readiness/preparation meeting with opportunity.

God has programmed open doors and favours in our life's journey. Most times, they present themselves to us as task or a problem that requires solution. How prepared are we to tackle those challenges?

When God-ordained opportunities come, they don't come with a special announcement. Most of the time, they come as tasks or challenges.

Prepare yourself for the kind of opportunty you desire. If you need to take that short course or acquire a skill, please do. Some day, the need for that knowledge will arise.

Preparation for opportunities always single people out from the crowd.

As a preacher, study wide and pray more. Prepare yourself for the kind of audience God is sending your way. Keep preparing, opportunity will come.

Action point

Father, I receive grace to see what others are not seeing, to see opportunities and maximize them In Jesus name.
