Lam3:27. It is good for someone to work hard [carry/bear the yoke] while he is young (EXB).

DISCOVER AND PURSUE PURPOSE

I thank God I found my life's purpose early. From the very time I read "Plans, Purposes& Pursuit" by Kenneth E. Hagin, I spent a considerable amount of time asking the Lord to reveal his mind to me concerning why I am here.

I have seen men and women who discovered in their later years what they ought to have been doing from their youthful years. Often, this comes with regret and pains.

When an elder tells a younger person 'I wish I were like you in my youthful days', that's a statement that is laden with regret.

Satan doesn't joke with youths. He has plans and purposes for every youth. He knows that's the best time to make use of their energy for his dirty dozens.

Every crime ring, terrorist organization, drug cartel, cult groups and prostitution business are filled with youths majorly.

As a youth, this is the time to discover and start pursuing your purpose. Don't wait until you've traveled a long distance on the wrong path before retracing your steps.

There are general purposes that every child of God must fulfill. This includes: worship, evangelism and giving God pleasure.

However, there are specific purposes unique to every individual. That, you must discover in the place of prayer and fellowship.

Don't pursue money when you should be pursuing the fulfilment of your existence. Your purpose is the reason God created you. It can only be revealed to you by God.

God will judge and reward you in heaven using the fulfilment of your purpose as the metrics not just doing anything. Stop running another man's race, find your path and stay there.

Satan's bait for the young is to make them pursue a better life at the expense of what will give them fulfilment. We live in a world that is crazy about "better living".

The campaign for "better life" is louder than the campaign for living a "fulfilled life". The former is about pursuing selfish ambitions that gratifies self, the latter is about the pursuit of our existence which impact others positively.

One can be wealthy and famous yet living a wasted life. Purpose fulfilment isn't about wealth and fame but the value we are adding to lives here on earth.

The easiest way to live a wasted life is to live a purposeless life. Avoid it.

Action point

Father, reveal my purpose to me in Jesus name.
