MAXIMIZING YOUR YOUTHFULNESS Pt.4
Lam3:27. It is good for someone to work hard [carry/bear the yoke] while he is young (EXB).
THE NEED FOR MENTORSHIP
I listened to an old minister on radio sometimes ago. He spoke about how ministers conducted themselves years ago.
When he got to a certain point in his radio talk, all I deduced from his talk was that there's a dearth of qualititative mentoring for some ministers today.
I have heard a lot of old people complain about the attitude of youths either in ministry, academics or business.
Mentorship is the missing link. Lack of proper mentoring will expose the weakness of youths.
As a youth that want to go far in life and destiny, you must consciously submit to mentors.
One of the things that establish a man in destiny and makes him last on the right path is mentorship.
Mentors are not chosen indescriminately, they are men to be followed because they are following Christ and are established in purpose that is similar to yours.
The yoke and burden of submitting to a mentor should be borne now that you're a youth. This is the learning phase of life.
In fact, when you grow old, you stil need mentors. Mentorship should last a life time.
The relationship between mentor and mentee sometimes is a bitter-sweet relationship because a true mentor will not hide the truth from you even if it hurts.
The end result of this powerful relationship is greatness. At this crucial time of life that you're young, prayerfully find a mentor and submit to him.
Father, I shall not be misled in Jesus name.
