Lam3:27. It is good for someone to work hard [carry/bear the yoke] while he is young( EXB).
During my service year, I was privileged to attend a meeting where some Christian elders were represented. I reprsented my fellowship.
We all introduced ourselves. Obviously, I was the youngest among them. One of the men who was present in the meeting told me he wished he knew Christ when he was a young man like me.
Seeing me in that meeting and knowing the body I represented as a youth, he lamented on how he wasted his youthfulness in the world.
When I studied the life of most achievers, there is a common trend I observed. One of my observation is that they set their foot on a definite path early in life.
If you look at most inventors, scientist and even successful men in the ministry, they started in their youthful age, paid the price as a youth and at old age, they consolidated the efforts of their yester years.
On the other hand, those that troubled our world and destroyed lives also started as youths. Most terrorists are youths, in fact teenagers have joined the train.
I noticed that whenever God want to do something remarkable in a generation, he looks for young men likewise the devil. That strength and zeal can do alot positively and negatively.
If you look at the hip pop music world, the reigning guys are youths. That tells how important youths are.
Dear young man/woman, youthfulness is a privilege and a blessing from God. It is a foundation laying time for a glorious life. It is a time to pay the price for your rising in life.
I won't be wrong to say that you cannot rise farther than the price you paid as a youth, it is a seed sowing time, a time to catch God's vision for your life.
Don't do in your sixties what you ought to do in your thirties. Every phase of life has its own task and pursuit. Strength doesn't increase with age, it reduces.
There are yearning, learning and earning years in life. It is good to bear the yoke early so that you'll rest in your earning years.
Don't play when you're meant to be paying the price for your rising in life. Maximize your youthfulness, don't waste it.
Father, i receive grace to maximize my youthfulness In Jesus name. Amen
