1 Thess4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
I listened to a man who was counseling another person about how to know the right spouse or partner. He told his counselee that one can know if his spouse-to-be is the right one by observing the progress made in life after having sex over a period of time. He used the aftermath events or happenings after sex as a yardstick for judgement. When you talk to people about pre marital sex, they may tell you it is a normal thing between intending couples or among those that are dating.
Some hold the belief that you have to test sexual compatibility before saying, "I do". I have read from so called relationship experts who advocate for sex before marriage and they present it as normal. God thinks differently: "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:", 1Thes4:3. God's pattern for singles is that they abstain from pre marital sex even if they're betrothed. The fastest way the enemy drain virtue and empty people of greatness is on the bed of immorality.
The writer of Hebrews said: "See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son," Heb12:16. Do not be deceived by what the world calls normal that is abnormal to God: "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect", Rom 12:2. Consecrate your life to God and ask for grace to live in purity. You are not pure until you are sexually pure- Rev Olusola Areogun.
Father, I receive the grace to abstain from sexual immorality in Jesus name.
