DON'T BE A VESSEL OF TEMPTATION

October 25, 2014 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Luke17: 1- One day Jesus said to his disciples, "There will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting!

One day, I was walking in a popular area of Benin city called ring road, I saw a lady that was scantily dressed cat-walking in the market, all the bike men, conductors and other passer-by were lusting after her because their words revealed what was in their heart. It was as if the lady intentionally appeared to advertise her body.

Many of those men, committed sexual immorality with that lady in their heart, they were tempted and they fell. Jesus' words is not ambiguous, he made it clear that temptations will come but the tempter will be severely judged for making him/herself to be used of the devil as a vessel of temptation.

It seems to me that some people have sold their conscience to the devil, the way they dress and lure others into sin either mentally or physically is at an alarming proportion. Some ladies intentionally wear low waist, tight, see-through and cleavage revealing dresses because they want to look trendy or dress to kill.

God is saying that if you make those brothers to lust, you also would be judged. Don't dress to kill so that you won't be killed. Don't say because I'm married, I'm dressing to kill for my husband, kill your husband but don't kill other men.

Action point
  • Father, I refuse to be a vessel of temptation In Jesus Name.
