BECOMING LIKE HIM

September 15, 2013 · Lanre Oyeleke · 3 views

2Corinth 3:18(MSG)- Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.

Whatever we see, hear, or read frequently determines what we think about, what we say and eventually what we will do. And what we do defines who we are!

To become like Christ, we need to know HIM more; know His will and know His ways. And to know Him, We need to spend more time with HIM. This is the only way in which our lives can mirror HIS.

There are couples who after some years together, people begin to say that they look alike. It is not magic, it is simply because they have gotten so close to the extent that they have begun to reflect each other.

Jesus and His word are one (Jhn1:1). To know Him more, study his word more. This means that the more of His word that you know the more of HIM that you know.

God is ready to reveal himself to you through His word, if only you will take the time to study. And as you see Him in the word, your life will gradually become brighter& more beautiful as you move from glory to glory.

Action point

Father, open my eyes to understand scriptures that I may be like you, in Jesus name.
