Understanding is the ability to grasp or properly interprete knowledge. Two people can hear or read thesame thing, but their understanding may differ because of how they grasp the real message such an information is trying to convey.
The reason behind confusion is simply because many lack understanding, you wonder why some will read all the books available&attend seminars, yet they can't make anything good out of it, that's because they lack understanding.
Understanding has to be imparted into you by the HolyGhost, that was what necessitated Paul to pray the Eph1:17-19 prayers. Ask the Lord today.
