Deut16:17- Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.
God's principles of blessing a man never changes, the age-long 'give and it shall be given' principle still stands till date, but we fail most times to concentrate on that part that says 'with the measure ye mete out, shall men give back unto your bossom'. You can't get beyond your giving.
There are givers that give little but expect much, that is just like sowing 3 seeds of corn and expecting a harvest of a trailer load of corn, God is no magician. What some give to God is not even commensurate with their earnings, yet they want the windows of heaven to open.
Your giving should be proportional to your earning, you can't be earning $10,000 and give an offering of $10, that's not commensurate. Jesus commended that widow because she gave something substantial out of her poverty while others gave remants out of their riches.
God deserves substance not remnant.
