Judges 16:19- And she made Samson sleep upon her knees,& she called a man& caused him to shave off the seven braids of his head.Then she began to torment [Samson], &his strength went from him.
Anointing without character is like a machine gun in the hands of a mad man.This is a perfect description of the man Samson. In him,we see the untamed passions of a gifted man.He had the gifts of the Spirit but lacked the fruits of the Spirit,forgetting that it is character that sustains anointing.
I heard of a young man who was highly anointed&at a young age he was already raising the dead. But whenever he was invited to a church programme where he won't be preaching,he would refuse to go, claiming that whoever was going to be ministering had nothing to offer him, since the person had not performed any of the miracles that he had performed. He was proud. But alas! At this point in time this brother is said to be in a psychiatric hospital, a mad man.
Undisciplined anointing cannot only ruin a person's future,it can destroy.If you desire spiritual gifts, it is essential that you desire the fruits more!
