Eph2:2- 'You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil...He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. NLT
Sometimes ago in my office, I was discussing with some of my colleagues about some people who look too good not to be saved. Some of these people are into traditional worship but on the outlook, they are pretty and are even nice to be with. The missing link in their life is salvation.
You may have met with people who hear the gospel truth on daily basis or that may have been under persistent follow-up so that they would surrender their lives to Christ but their lives keep getting worse. The reason for this is clear, the scripture above said there's a spirit at work in them.
Anytime you see people in persistence disobedience to Christ and unyielded to the gospel, the prince of the power of the air is at work in them. When interceeding for a loved one that is anti-gospel, always rebuke the controlling powers that has prevented him/her from yielding to the gospel.
Our preachings&evangelisms won't be fruitful until we deal with the controlling powers.
- Father, I bind the powers that hasn't made (...insert name of an unbeliever) to yield to the gospel and I release labourers to harvest him/her into the fold In Jesus Name.
