1Tim6:11 But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. NLT
Paul was the spiritual father of Timothy. He placed Timothy as the Pastor of a church and Timothy needed some sound advice from his discipler because he was young. Bro Timothy started his Pastoral ministry as a youth hence, the need for the kind of advice Paul gave him in several portions of the scriptures.
Young people have the tendency to pursue mundane things leaving God behind. Their aspirations and the quest for stardom is at its peak because of the energy and youthful exuberance they possess but Paul gave a word of advice to all youths not only Timothy. He advised that every believer must pursue righteousness( seeking to do the right thing) and a godly life( a life focused on pleasing God).
He also added other ingredients to that pursuit which are: faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. In essence, with all these combined together, you'll be a complete Christian. Make these your daily pursuit especially now that you are young. This is the best time of your life, maximise your energy in pursuit of God.
