Psalm102:13- "You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favour to her; the appointed time has come. NLT
I heard about a brother who is a professor's son. He finished in school with a third class and that infuriated his father. He applied for a job and was scheduled to meet with the board. He borrowed the cloth he wore to the interview and even the transport fare. He got to the interview venue very late when others have finished theirs.
The interview was over but the secretary allowed her in by pleading on his behalf. As he entered, the board members started arguing about a football match played by Arsenal. Being a fan of the same club, he started discussing football with the board members most of whom were Arsenal fans. They forgot they wanted to interview the guy because his analysis impressed them and they gave him the job immediately.
Favour is an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. When you live with the mentality of 'I merit this or I merit that', you may not earn God's favour. There are many men&women out there with better degrees and brain but when God decides to favour, you'll seem to be the best amongst men.
Father, favour me this season In Jesus Name.
