King Sennacherib threatened the peace of Judah and Jerusalem during King Hezekiah's reign. The former had a large army that was strong and intimidating. It was obvious the armies of Judah felt threatened and the spirit of her people were down.
Hezekiah, a king who realized the mightiness of God stepped out and said, "He may have a great army, but they are merely men. We have the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles for us!” Hezekiah’s words greatly encouraged the people" (2 Chron 32:8).
Often, when faced with life's challenges, we fail to realize the greatness of God's power that is on our side. Satan speaks so loud into our ears, paint graphic images of how we'll end and diminish the greatness of God in our minds.
At that point, you may forget all previous victories God won for you and some of the things you have read in the bible. He'll want you to fellowship with the doctor's report and negative news around you. That's why I don't like negativity around me.
Hey! It is all a lie. Satan has no new trick. He attacks your mind so that he can succesfully attack your life by downing your faith in God. That's his modus operandi from time immemorial. He's a boasting Satan but Christ has defeated him.
Colossians 2:15 says, "and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it". Halleluyah!!!
We are not dealing with an enemy that hasn't been defeated. He's been defeated over 2000 years ago on the cross though he still trespasses but the knowledge of our victory in Christ and the exercise of our authority by faith in the name of Jesus will put him where he belongs.
I am here to let you know that God's power to conquer and overcome life's challenges is available for you If only you can tap into it by faith. Faith releases the power of God that is greater than the onslaught of the enemy.
