TESTS PRECEDING PROMOTION. Pt. 1

Gen 39:9 There is none greater in this house than I, neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”

THE FEMALE TEST

Many believers engage in prayer and fasting with the aim of securing a promotion, yet they often overlook the fact that certain tests must be successfully completed prior to attaining such an advancement. This is akin to the academic setting where promotion is contingent upon passing prerequisite courses.

On his journey to greatness, Joseph met with one of the greatest test that many men failed- female test. The story of Samson and Reuben comes to mind also.

Samson's destiny was divinely declared to his parents before he came to the world. His kind of anointing was rare. Unfortunately, when he sat for female test, he failed. A bright destiny became bleak.

Reuben would have inherited more than half of his father's estate as the first son but the sin of sexual immorality reduced him to a mere man among his brothers. In my opinion, Judah took the shine off him.

I am not sure there is a male that will not face the female test especially If they are going somewhere in life. Every great man in the kingdom faced this test, some passed some failed.

In my view, the Almighty does not arbitrarily elevate individuals without subjecting them to rigorous assessments. While supplicating for promotion is commendable, it cannot be secured solely through prayer or even by receiving anointment with 'promotion oil'.

If you doubt divine tests, why did God reject the brothers of David for Kingship as though they sat for a test and chose David as though he passed a test. Have you considered that scenario? God observed their daily lives and was marking their scripts. They didn't know they were in a divine examination hall.

I perceive God must have observed certain things in the life of Joseph over time before recommending him for the throne. It may surprise you that God had told him earlier in his dream what would become of him, so why the test?

Well, the dream he had was a revelation of God's mind about his life but the tests he must pass to feature in that plan is another thing. The good plan of God for us doesn't change but we may not feature in that plan If we fail divine test. In some cases when men fail, God finds a replacement to fulfill that plan.

If Joseph had agreed to the demands of Mrs Potiphar, he would have remained the chief of staff of slaves in that house because of free sex. He wouldn't have had the opportunity to go to prison and consequently the palace.

God saw in him a man who would not take advantage of women through influence. In the fullness of time, God placed him on the throne.

God is shopping for quality men as I speak. He is watching your relationships with women in the office, church and those sisters in the fellowship whom you have influence over.

I perceive that some campus youth pastors and excos of yesteryears would have become great today but they cut their journey to greatness short because of how they handled sisters- they failed God.

God is tired of priests damaging His daughters. Men with great discipline and value for sexual purity are in high demand to occupy great and strategic places, will God find you worthy?

Action point

Father, I will not fail the female test, give me grace to pass excellently In Jesus name.
