TALK YOUR WAY INTO VICTORY

November 06, 2020 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

2Cor 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

I cannot forget my experience on our way to a village years back. I joined an evangelistic team for a crusade. On our way, we got to a point where the road was flooded. We saw smaller vehicles passing through the flood and crossing to the other side. However, our driver said we won't be able to cross. Up until that point, nothing was wrong with our vehicle but as he tried driving through the flood, our vehicle stopped. He just couldn't drive past that flood. It amazed us how smaller and rickety vehicles passed through the flood. The only plausible reason for that break down was because of what the driver said earlier. Solomon said, "A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled."(Prov18:20).

The key to victory is to keep talking. I don't mean you should talk your fears and anxieties. Simply speak the word of God. That's all. The devil is a talking devil, you should never be mute. I've heard the devil speak to me severally and I've never failed to give him word-based replies. Don't be shy to speak out against the devil. The bible says, "The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences."(Prov18:21) This warfare is a talking warfare. You cannot afford to keep silent in warfare. You can create life with your tongue even when circumstances seem* contrary. Often, our words are expressions of our innermost thoughts and beliefs. Refuse to believe the wrong thing so that you can speak aright.

Don't take sides with the evil pictures the enemy is painting in your heart. The devil may have told you that you will fail in that endeavour. He may tell you that you'll die barren or he may be scaring you with untimely death. Just lay hold of God's word and speak out loud against his plans. Don't stop talking. Goliath spoke words of fear into the hearts of the Israelite armies and they went hiding not knowing that an ordinary stone will silence him. A talking shepherd boy ( David) who understood the role of 'talking' in spiritual warfare confronted him with the words of faith and he took the right action. That was the end of Goliath. Everything the devil is telling you in your heart are all lies because he is the father of liars and his natural language is lies. Confront him with the truth by speaking it out. Don't change your confession until it becomes your reality.

Action point

CONFESSION: My confession shall become my reality. I pull down strongholds* of evil imaginations and thoughts in my heart. I speak life into my life. I'm not dying sick neither will I die in regret. I speak health into my body, joy into my family and victory into my life in Jesus name.
