*RESTITUTION AND YOUR SALVATION* Pt.11

I Timothy 1:5 *Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith*.

*EXTREMES IN RESTITUTION*(d)

Imagine the killer whose case we described previously going to confess his crime on the day the family is burying their only child whom he killed, what do you think will happen? Those attending the interment will likely kill him right there because his confession will make their wounds more painful. He may have heard God but he got the timing wrong.

Another extreme in restitution is when it is done at the wrong timing. The bible says, "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven" ( Ecclesiastes 3:1).

As a child of God, timing matters in all things. You cannot afford to be in haste. One of the benefits of proper pastoral guidance is that they'll guide you to know when the time is right for what the Lord is leading you to do.

Those who make haste in spiritual things that requires discernment of right timing are never far from troubles. You cannot be ahead of God and still be in his will. That is an invitation to trouble.

Talking about the children of Isaachar, the bible says, "And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment"( 1 Chron 12:32).

In matters of restitution, God uses time to prepare the hearts of the offended to accept reconciliation and to be able to forgive. The capacity to forgive and let go quickly takes time for some people. God takes his time to work on people's hearts.

Action Point:

*Restituting when time has not finished its work will damage the person God is trying to repair. Be sensitive to divine timing*.
